One Month

Tyler is one month old today. I can’t believe how fast the last month has flown. I’m really enjoying every minute…I don’t even mind being up in the middle of the night to be with him. He’s such a blessing and we are so thankful!

2 services

After one month, we have now figured out how to schedule Tyler’s feedings so that we can go to both services at church. We’re so thankful. Our Sunday school class was really small today so we moved things to Starbucks. We actually discussed our lesson over coffee (well, hot chocolate for me). It was a new found freedom to be able to be away from home that long.

This week will be one of trying to figure out our schedule and making sure I can manage everything at home and still pick up Ashley from school on time. Then next week, I’ll go back to BSF. I’m really ready to go back but I know I need a little bit more time to schedule life at home before I’m ready to add that commitment. It will be good for Audrey too. She misses BSF and her friends plus it’s a good time just for Mommy and Audrey. She really needs that this year since she’s home with Tyler and me and he needs so much of my attention. Our BSF mornings will give me some time to focus on her.

I did it!

Yesterday was my first day to manage life by myself. I didn’t have to call my mom in a panic to come rescue me. Somehow I managed to adjust Tyler’s feeding schedule to accommodate a visit from a customer, lunch for Audrey and picking up Ashley from school. The plants were watered, playroom dusted, bathroom floors mopped and I still had time for a game of Wii bowling with Audrey. I even fed the girls dinner and had them ready for AWANA by the time Brian got home from work. So, one day down and several years to go…

Home Alone

Well, I really wasn’t home alone today but I was without another adult to help. It was a little wild and I was thankful that Brian came home early. Today was our final appointment at the birth center where Tyler was born. He had his second newborn screening and hearing test. He also weighed in at 10lbs. 8 oz. Here’s a picture of us at the birth center.

One more thing to do…

We just aren’t busy enough so after looking around for one more thing to do, we decided to start a blog. There’s something about having a baby that makes you want to share every crazy detail with everyone you know. So for those of you who care…welcome to our world!

Tyler William Villanueva was born on August 29, 2008 at noon. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 oz and was 21 1/4 ” long. He’s changed our lives and we are loving it! Ashley and Audrey are wonderful big sisters. They love to hold him although their attention spans aren’t very long. If he gets fussy (or even if he moves), they are ready to give him back to Mom or Dad.
